Create a new archive file

1. To create a new archive file, first you need to run PicoZip. In this example, we show you how to create Zip file. In PicoZip's main window, click on the "New" button as shown below:

2. You will be shown the "New Archive" dialog box. Enter a file name which you would like to call your archive file in the "File name" text box. In our example below, we named our archive file "TestFile". You can also choose which archive format to use. The default format is "Zip", and we highly recommend that you use this format because most computer users use this format and has a Zip compatible archive utility. Now, click the "Create" button to proceed.

3. Now, the "Add" dialog box is shown. This dialog box allows you to select the files which you would like to add the your new archive file. The default values for the remaining settings should be fine for most purposes. After selecting the files to add, click the "Add" button.

4. You should now be back in the main window, and the archive file that you had just created is automatically displayed.
