UUencode Archive

This feature allows you UUencode an archive. This is useful when you need to send a file across mail systems that do not support binary email attachments (mainly older systems). To perform this operation, choose UUencode from the Tools menu. The UUencode dialog box appears. You can set the following parameters:

· Input Filename : Enter the filename of the archive that you would like to convert. If you have a currently opened archive, its filename is automatically inserted here for you.

· Encoded Filename : Enter the filename of the UUencoded file.

· Encoding Method : Select the encoding method.

· Spanning Size : Select the spanning size. Setting a spanning size means if your file is larger than the size you specified, PicoZip will split the UUencoded file into several files, with each file's maximum size equal to the spanning size. Example: If you have an archive of size 380kb, and you set spanning size to 100kb, after UUencoding, you get 3 files of size 100kb and 1 file of size 80kb.

Click on the OK button after setting the above parameters. A dialog box will inform you when the archive has been successfully UUencoded.
