Extracting Files

Files can be extracted from archives in several ways. Click on any of the following to learn more:

1. Extracting files using the standard interface.

2. Extracting files using the Wizard interface.

You can also extract files from an archive without leaving Windows Explorer. In Windows Explorer, right click an archive file which you would like to extract. A popup context menu will appear which provides 3 extract options as explained below:

· Extract To … : The Extract dialog box will be shown, allowing you to specify the folder where you want the extracted files to be placed. You also have the option to set some of the extraction settings. To learn more about the Extract dialog box options, click here.

· Extract Here : All the files in the archive will be extracted to the same folder as the archive, and any folders stored in the archive will be restored.

· Extract To ArchiveFilename\ : All files in the archive will be extracted to a subfolder which has the same name as the archive file, and any folders stored in the archive will be restored.
